We closed out Black History Month in #AllBlack for Melanin Brunch. We stopped at WeCare Salon Cafe in Virginia Beach, Virginia! The Owner, Jemmalyn Hewlette, is a serial entrepreneur and we are blown away by the amount of successful businesses that she owns! We’ll chat about that more later but for now, let’s jump into this #MelaninBrunch!

Melanin Brunch at WeCare Salon Cafe in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Brunch was a whole vibe! We had the 90s-now playlist, mimosa flights, and variety of traditional brunch mixed with Filipino cuisine! Melanin Brunch is our brunch series that allows members to explore some of Hampton Roads favorite and/or new brunch spots, surrounded by other Melanin Members every other month. We create a laid back environment where you can feel comfortable throwing back a few mimosas while still talking about topics ranging from business to pop culture.

Some of our favorite dishes were on the menu and attendees loved the selection for brunch! We hope you can join us for our next Melanin Brunch in April!
