The Brunch House in Virginia Beach, VA was the perfect place to meet up for a Melanin Brunch. The variety of holiday themed meals, breakfast shooters, and tropical mimosas allowed us to come together, meet other dope young professionals, and support a local black business.

I split the apple pie pancakes, seasonal fruit, and a side of bacon and eggs with my toddler. While she enjoyed orange juice, I enjoyed a tropical mimosa, which was pretty good. It was garnished with a pineapple slice and mini umbrella. Everything tasted very well and the portions were an average size. I was full and satisfied and not stuffed and uncomfortable. Diner style seating allowed for an intimate and informal feel. Many “networking” events sometimes come off “stuffy” but when good food and lights drinks are involved in a relaxed atmosphere, it’s a recipe for success.

It was great meeting so many new people over a good meal. The staff was very pleasant and accommodated our group with ease. They have several specials throughout the week and i would definitely return.

Next up? Another dope black restaurant!
